Managed to get some outside video of the fledge - it's a bit jerky due to the motion record sensor in operation, but all 5 are seen leaving, just need to pick out the parents going in and out of the box and the siblings that return to the bracket holding the box!

I thought I'd already posted the inside fledge video - must have forgotten in the excitement of managing to get the outside colour video of a sort, despite not changing to continuous recording.

Oooh that is really lovely they look in fine fettle Beechnut. Do they always head for the hedge, to get under cover quickly. Very pleased that's it for you or is it?

What wonderful footage Beechnut. Really pleased for you that they all fledged successfully. Just a shame all over for another year. Hope you see them around your garden. Thank you for sharing. Sue

They do generally go that way, we have a climbing rose at the end of the conifers which is handy for them to land in, I think just one of them turned the corner and made it to the fence on the other side of the garden. With regards to the latter part of your post, I may have more to report later.

Wow Beechnut, that quick!! Your video clip & piccies are lovely & I had to laugh at your comment of GT's first. After having BT's for years, we now have GT's for the 3rd year in a row but don't know what stage they're at. I catch sight of of Mr.?Mrs? to-ing an fro-ing a lot to the box, but not close enough to see if caterpillars are in their beaks. Will have to wait until I can get out into the garden again to see more detail.

I'm still seeing Tommy and Tuppence getting mealies for the youngsters from their individual feeders Helen, so the ENS hasn't really kicked in yet.

After my "mess up" yesterday Beechnut, I've now watched both of the new video clips which are great, but I do love the first one of them flying out into the hedge. Mine make a bee-line for my weeping copper beech or the Californian lilac in our garden - just see parents at the moment, so your GT's are way ahead of mine.

Thanks Guys, hopefully will be able to keep them fed for a while yet.
There's several starting to have nestlings now of both great and blue tits. Good luck to all.

I got a bit of footage of Tommy using the modified Scott feeder to collect a mealworm for one of the fledglings in the plum tree earlier.
It's a bit jerky as I did it in a rush after seeing him in there, I had to get the camera and set it up, then film it through the opened small window.
I don't know how many fledglings are left, I haven't seen them all together, and I don't really want to know, but they are well into their second week out of the nest.
Both parents are feeding them and I need to top up the Scottie twice a day - there are also two box feeders (starling protected) elsewhere in the garden which are used when the Scottie gets low.
