Thank you all for posts. I checked the cameras this morning and yes they are still there. Mr was doing a bit of "this is how you do it" this morning. Mrs came and took over. They look like novices to nest building This is the first nest for the side view box I've had since 2020. Thank you Paul x

Amazing progress on the nest I'm not sure but I think two birds are actively building. Maybe mr lending a hand? Also had a great tit visit this box yesterday and had a couple of nest wiggles. The box with snail residue on the lens is now beautifully clear thanks to Windolene ( thanks Pete) but of course no action since The sparrows are still around and fiddling with one piece of grass which comes in and out. I don't think they've had the memo that spring is here

Well things have settled down in the bluetit box and yesterday a lot of normal comings and goings with the male entering first followed by a female then exit male. I haven't seen 2 bringing in moss today but I can't tell individuals apart so they may be taking it in turns I wonder if it was a male helping out? Anyway the great tits have paid another visit to the newly cleaned lens box today

Thanks all for sharing my excitement Tthings in the bluetit box have are back to normal activity as we know it. I wonder if it was Mr lending a hand or 2 females. Maybe you eager eyed folk can tell the difference in sexes but I still struggle Mrs spent her first night roosting last night but no egg yet. The Great tits continue to show interest with nest wiggles early morning but no sign of nesting material yet Jack sparrow has been a sad individual in th e patio box spending time popping in and out with same bit of straw. There was no female about for a while but then this morning he seemed to have found himself a friend

Excellent! hardly any sparrows around here recently, seen the odd one or two but usually see and hear many more, a lone female did come to investigate my tit box that already has a bluetit nesting in it up near the eaves so I have invested in a sparrow terrace to go up there once the tits have gone, they need all the help they can get it seems.
