I give up - can't get a photo to upload with postimages - don't know what's wrong!! Hi Beechnut I remember when I started using Post Images there were some issues. You choose and copy the direct link on Post Images and then on the forum I remember you have to delete the http that's already in the window and then backspace to make sure you are at the extreme left of the window before you paste the direct link in. Hopefully this will make sense.

Thanks Paul - I've printed off Matt's instructions and will follow them faithfully, and see if I can get a result. I don't seem to be getting 'Share' button when I should nor an 'Insert Image' box.

There's still 6 unhatched eggs in that cup - I don't know what Milly will do about them, but it must be an increased 'pain' for the chicks by the day. I've never had so many failed eggs in a clutch while I've had a box and camera!

My two GTs are getting well feathered now - not quite got to the wing exercising yet, so still plenty of cobwebs in the upper reaches of the box!

Maybe Paul - I have had it happen a couple of times before when the first batch was only one or two hatch. My two are getting a bit excited today Milly is feeding at a rate of knots - still not using the mealies - and I've had the first chick in the "attic", so 'F Day' is getting close. I have finally connected the recorder up, so that is on from dawn till dusk, in an attempt to catch the fledge.

Well - My two have gone - Departed the box at 13.47 and 13.53 respectively. I didn't see them go as I was having my after Sunday lunch rest. I went for a walk round the garden later and went into the greenhouse to see if my runner bean plants were growing, and perched in the trays on the bench was this little GT! He looked at me for a few seconds then managed to fly through an open window and made his way to the cherry tree. I hastened back into the house and camera was showing an empty nestbox. I shall have to wait and see if Milly decides on another clutch! The Empty Nestbox!

Great news for a successful fledging Beechnut. How sweet to have seen one of the chicks up close and personal. Here’s hoping they come back into the garden to visit and better still if they have a second brood. Have enjoyed your story . First fledge on here Sue
