Still only two hatched by this morning - a little bit concerned. We'll see what the rest of the day brings.

Well it looks as if there may be 6 non-viable eggs in my nestbox. No more hatched and we are in the third day since the two broke their shells. This looks as if it's going to be the worst outcome I've had, but at least there will be something to watch, so thankful for small mercies.

So hope they are just late Beechnut - but if not there will be two well fed chicks to boost the birdie population. Sue

I don't think there's much hope in the remaining 6 eggs hatching Sammi, it's the 6th day today since 'The dynamic Duo' appeared and together they now cover half the nest cup!
I think Milly has finally got the message Sue, as she is doing a fair share of the feeding - but there obviously isn't the urgency for only two to provide for. The mealworm feeder isn't being used that I can tell, I've seen them getting food from the cherry tree.

Looks like it’s just to be the two then Beechnut - but at least they will be looked after well. Poor Milly, it must be very confusing. Bless. Sue

Hopefully there will be no issue finding food for just the two Beechnut.

There doesn't seem a problem with food at the moment Benn, Milly is bringing a fair amount of insect material in, whether she's swapping with Mack outside, I'm not sure, but they seem to be flitting in and around the cherry tree a lot at the moment which has been in blossom for around a couple of weeks.
