Busy busy day today - back and forth all day mostly with feathers. It's getting to the real soft duvet stage now. GT still paying the odd mid-afternoon visit just to peek into the box. Doesn't seem to be too much of a threat at the moment fingers crossed!

Not as much action today - I think she must have been resting and feeding after all the effort of the past few days. Lots of motion alerts, but most of these have been caused by bits of feather and fluff blowing back and forth in the draughts.
I'm hoping she'll be gearing up to start laying some eggs soon!

Lovely little moment towards the end of this video clip, where the male arrives at the nest box entrance with a morsel of something and feeds it to the female, who buzzes her wings whilst being fed. Then he hops down into the nest to see how it's all going before she shoos him away. Still no obvious sign of eggs yet.

First egg! Camera weirdly stopped reporting any motion overnight, and the live stream was unavailable until after 6am this morning. Possibly weather related. Mildly concerned about that as it could be moisture or something in the camera (it was absolutely hacking it down with rain last night) Egg #1 visible in the centre of this pic...

Actually this might have been a false alarm! I can't see anything obviously egg-like on the camera feed at the moment.
It could be just very well hidden... But I may have got excited for nothing.
I'll post something as soon as it's more clear what's happening....!

Will watch with interest then Pete, but certainly looked like an egg in that photo - they are experts at hiding them. Keep us informed. Sue

What do we think? Looks like it might be an egg under there as she fusses about? This was just about 30mins ago as she returned to the nest to settle for the night.
