Really great having a second nest, maybe Glen is servicing both females ☺️😁 He does a lot of showing off when she is about but Rose doesn't seem too impressed, hopefully he will woo her and all will be happy

Oh no, where abouts? In one of the boxes? Kind of, Rose had got up as normal and brought some moss in and was faffing with it and Judith went to have a look through the hole which she did very regularly, this always made Rose go all defensive, usually Judith would then move away but instead she got further inside with her head and Rose grabbed hold of her and Judith fought back and at some point Rose came out of the box and all 3 off them flew off. Judith and Glen are back now, but no sign of Rose but that isnt unusual as she would disappear all day until roosting time after a short time nest building. Will see if she comes back at roosting time, in a way I hope she doesnt as I dont think her nest will be successful with the interference of Judith, I hope she can set up home somewhere else as it is still early.

Egg number 4 this morning for Judith, meanwhile after the scrap yesterday little Rose wasnt put off and still returned to roost lastnight, she hasnt brought any moss in this morning though, just a case of seeing how this plays out.

little Rose hasnt come home tonight, I feel sad as she has been roosting in the Rose box since January, I only hope she goes on to have a little family and is safe and warm wherever she is.

Am hoping Rose will return Karen, was looking forward to seeing chicks raised in that lovely nest box, but maybe she has found a mate of her own and is now busily building her own nest Lovely picture of Judith’s eggs, lots of little chicks to come. Sue

Thanks sue, yes I was too, its the first time the box has had any action and its in an ideal position but Judith just couldn't accept her being there, although they chummed along well before the breeding season started! I really hope she can now get on and have her little family and Judith wont have any distractions

What a roller coaster for you Karen. Hope Rose settles now please Great that Judith and Glen have found the waxworms and will be ready to feed their family - however likely to cost you a fortune . lovely pic of the eggs. I spent 24 hours dog sitting at my daughters and her blue tits she thought had left (she is very new to this), haven’t gone at all. Incubation must be under way as saw mum come out a few times for comfort breaks and straight back in. Was great to have something to watch even if only for a short period . Sue

I use an old candle holder styled in a bird cage type thing I will take a pic to show you as that is a poor description! lol

Meanwhile in the Rowan tree box Judith has 7 eggs and no signs of incubation yet, Glen is a really good mate so far and very attentive with bringing her little treats, lovely to watch.
