Wow, amazing Paul. How do you manage not only to attract all these birds but how do you find their nests and manage to get cameras set up without disturbing them - are you dressed as a giant bird whilst you do it all 🐦 ? You certainly deserve the name of Wildlife Paul - bird man of Liverpool . So so envious of all your nests. Sue

Now that’s a brilliant idea Ann. He’d better wear his Spider-Man or Superman suit to scale it up to my balcony . Sue

Abit of a big update with pictures from different nests so sorry for the long post!! start with the sad news, Our male blue tits been missing for a few days now, All activity off both our females have completely stopped. I have one near full build blue tit nest and half built one, Since the disappearance of the male the females haven't been seen near the boxes. So I am guessing up hope on my blue tits this year, Sad because its the first time in 10 years I wont get a blue tit nest but sadly these things happen its nature!44 Luckily, I am not without nests so its completely fine. Our wrens got 2 eggs now in the old nest from 2 years ago, its been freshed up with new moss around the entrance and of course fresh feathers inside see pictures below I am putting an IP camera set over this box, I want to get the best quality of this little nest! Our dunnock settled on just the 3 eggs, Such be a nice little brood to easy bring up for her though picture below And last but not least, If this picture doesn't make you laugh and smile our robin chicks are still in the ivy near the box, This little one is always on the decking every morning its getting pretty used to me picking it up and putting it back in the ivy now look at its little face

The look on his little face. I can't decide if it's indignation or not. Beautiful picture. So sorry about the bluetits though. Our bluetit nest is still being spruced up by the female but I haven't seen the male in the box at all lately. No little snacks for the female or anything. It is still chilly here though. The sparrows have stalled too. The male pops by and looks about but no active nest building for a while. I hope they are just biding their time. We have our dunnocks nesting again in a small conifer in front of the kitchen window. Your wren nest is going to be adorable to watch and hopefully you will get another robin nest or two

Now that is a face only a mother could love , still adorable though. Probably thinking, ‘just as I get where I want to be on the ground this silly human keeps popping me back where I began - duh’ Such a shame about the blue tits Paul, so glad you have the dunnocks and fantastic wrens to watch. Sue

Great shame about your BTs, but the wren and dunnock nests are fabulous. Good luck with them and keep the photos coming! V jealous of your robin fledgling experience. Our four fledglings were sighted in next door's garden a few days ago but that's all we've seen.

So sorry about your BTs Paul, still early though you think if they get a new male things could start again fingers crossed for them. What a grand little Robin, have you ringed them Paul? Really look forward to watching your other nests develop, Wrens and Dunnocks both favourites of mine.

Sorry about your BT's Paul, Sadly these little birds are often predated. We lost our female 3 seasons ago to a Sparrow hawk.
We had a real issue with a Sparrow hawk that hid in our Fir tree and picked off many birds at the feeder. Then last Autumn I fixed a small plastic "Little Owl" on the perch the Sparrow hawk used. I left it there for 3 weeks in which time the hawk and many small birds would not come near. I took it down and the hawk has not been back and the small birds gradually returned to the feeders.
Great watching the Robins, Wren and Dunnocks though. That Dunnock nest is a work or art and the blue eggs are amazing!!
I think we have Dunnocks, wood Pigeons and Blackbirds nesting in our Ivy but it is about 2 metres thick on both sides of the fence and spotting the nests is impossible as its so dense.

Wren update, She is sitting on 6 eggs! IP camera is now near the box, I'll post a video below and pictures of the little camera set up and the 6 eggs. Doesn't seem to mind the light being added either, Nest is very dark inside she is using black feathers so needed to brighten it up a little for the camera! VIDEO Camera set up

Love that sweet wren. It is going to be a lovely nest to watch Paul. Could I ask please where the small tubular outside camera is from. It looks so useful. My outside cameras are pretty bulky.
