to you Paul with caring for this little one in your house & I'm sure you'll make a success of it. On a lighter note: If you decide later to look after a few more in your house - they could "eat you out of house & home!"

Little Angel looks like her name & she is so adorable, not surprised she melted your heart I love all supernatural programmes etc. (saw Christopher Lee as "Dracula" when I was 14, X cert in those days so I was too young) so wish I could astra plane myself over to your garden to see all your s for myself.

How lovely Paul Angel is soooo gorgeous. You will end up with hundreds of hedgehogs with your big heart....there won’t be room for you in your house! WoW that must be a big dog pen to fit the hedgehog house in.....one very lucky hedgehog! Can you add more hedgehogs to the same pen?

Amanda, Its an XXL dog crate / cage its 121cm long, 75cm wide and 80cm high. Only one each cage, I wanted to give her a big cage so she can move about and have a proper house! Karen, I'll see how I get on with her, Maybe i'll take another 1 or 2 you'll all be first to know anyway! I have changed the cage today, I have thick rubber sheets due to deliver Friday to put around the cage inside to stop her climb and maybe hurting herself. As you can see from the pictures, I had puppy training pads along the sides but Angel destroyed them so its been updated to cupboard now until the rubber sheets come Friday. This little video did make me laugh though, She looked so innocent until lastnight! Heres how the cage is looking this morning after a clean and the cupboard down the sides, Also got her a Large rabbit den from Pets at home for £6 and put some newspaper in rescue told me it helps with the boredom for them and they will also used it to toilet in instead of the house.

Little angel is at 634g now, She was in middle of trying to get herself off the scale during this picture! I'll be turning the heating off in the room in the next few weeks and letting her go down to hibernate for the winter. Glad i've been able to help her i'll 100% be over-wintering again next year probably more aswell!

That's good news Paul! Little Angel looks good (saw the piccie on Twitter) & very soon she'll be sleeping through the long, drawn out Winter. It does look like there will be a "Wildlife Paul's Hedgehog Rescue Centre" next year.

Aww Paul she is so beautiful. I wondered after I said I hope she settles down into hibernation whether she would hibernate at all? I know so little about over wintering these little lovelies. When she gets to a good weight will she go back outside or does she stay indoors until spring? Apologies if I've missed all this info. I am guilty of speedily reading through posts sometimes. Another New Year's Resolution to note down. Hehe. Sorry I've gone back and read your post PROPERLY and see you turn the heating off first. I'll go back and read everything and wont be distracted with all the cute photos this time. Hehe

Yes sammi, I turned the heating completely off a week ago now. Angel went down to hibernate 2 days ago, She weighted 750g in her last weight in! She packed her house of hay and went down, So I guess i'll see her in spring now when she awakes Still putting food and water in the cage incase she wakes up during the hibernation though of course! This is the last video from weight in for her (its on twitter so if you can't see it just click my twitter link and you'll be able to view it that way)

THEY'RE BACK!!! This is patch I am sure you remember him from last year, He actually was the first to go down to hibernate in my garden in late september. Lastnight he came out his house down the entry and straight to the feeder he remembered which was freshly filled with biscuits and water, He nearly ate the full bowl before going back to his house I am so happy hes back! He is the first of my 3 hibernating in the garden to wake up, But he was the first to go down so makes sense! Little angel is still hibernating aswell in the house! Anyway here the video of him
