Sammi I think if May has been doing the nest diving, then you could probably say she has got eggs! icon_biggrin They are are very clever at covering up aren’t they!? Oh well, time will tell & all will be revealed soon Elle xx

and counting May is still adding to the nest. Some fine material and wool. She is having problems keeping the wool in the nest though it seems to get caught on her as she leaves so it is going in and out rather a lot. A wasp looks like it is very interested in the fence box I'm going on the hunt for fake wasp nests today. The patio box is getting a swift clean each evening before the rooster settles down..... Will catch up with posts later

Thanks Taz I do hope you get more luck next year if they don't try again this year. I have now bought my Waspinators and I'm off to try it out to deter the persistant pest who visits my fence box. I'll put another by the nesters box just to make sure the wasps don't try that one. Egg number 3 today.

Good luck with yours, that's great hearing you have 3 eggs. I expect she now has 5 eggs?

Thanks all. Up to 5 today and everything is looking good. I'll be turning everything off for a few days while we make our occasional pilgrimage up to see the blues of Manchester. Now that is going to test my blood pressure medication. Hopefully will post updates on our return.

Good, luck Sammi. Although I am lifelong Bolton fan, I have a soft spot for City as my older brother in law took me to Maine Rd from 1969 to 1973.

Great news Sammi re 5 eggs now! A M/C City fan eh? My aunt lived near their stadium & she went to every match until she died in 1992 - her son & his wife carry on the tradition. Benn - my step-son is still an avid Bolton supporter since the 1990's.

City certainly do not things the easy way, (discounting last years EPL) Sammi. I guess you will need to double the dose of amiodipine before passing the turnstile on Monday Bolton are a tough watch these days Diane. I had a season ticket for 36 years but stopped going around 10 years ago. We attend the odd boxing game now and then, but there might not be club to watch next season

Hi Sammi - Good luck on Monday with your blood pressure, hope they win!
Hi Benn - I stand corrected! My step-son had a season ticket from 1980 (so a decade out) until two years ago. He's told us all about their woes besides the problems being on the TV, we all think it's a shame.

Sorry Sammi I thought I had posted on your thread but I 'liked it' instead. I've had a busy week again and it's hard to catch up. with everyone. Anyway looks like all going to plan with yours. Feathery nests are very useful aren't they with this last cold snap. Nice to see your May's eggs, great stuff. Flo's due to hatch mid week so you won't be far behind then. Hope you enjoyed your match! did they win?

Bit of good news re: the blues match last night, one of my brothers is an avid fan, & season ticket holder, so he was chuffed with the outcome, ssssshhhhh! I’m sure Paul wouldn’t be happy.! Anyway, back to birds, so glad things are still going great Elle xx

Thanks for all the good luck. I survived the stress ...just .. Back now to the relative calm of bluetit nesting to find May incubating 8 eggs. I've been monitoring since about 4 pm and sadly no sign of Boris yet bringing in food for her The weather on the way home was horrendous and all I could think of was all those liitle caterpillars being washed off the leaves.

Sammi 8 eggs is a really good number, as long as Boris shows when the chicks arrive that’s all that matters icon_biggrin i am also nervous thinking of the caterpillars getting washed away, but you would think that they would still find them! (Hopefully)
Elle xx
