I created this little pond from a belfast sink around 3 years ago sunk it in a patch of ground at the side of our front garden which we sow with wild flowers each year and have added plants along the way that benefit birds/bees/butterflies etc and now it is really beginning to come into its own, the birds drink and bathe in it hedgehogs use as a watering hollow, a couple of frogs moved in the first year but were just young ones so no spawn until now, I was so thrilled to find a lovely chunk of spawn the other morning and little frog is still in residence. I have a solar pump which gives it aeration and watercress and a pond plant as well as two upturned plant pots and thats all really. So simple but really helps any creature that comes across it.
