Elle...such beautiful photos. Loving them ....glad you managed the pic posting. I think it's different if you do it from an iPad or a PC. On one the copy works and on the other you have to manually copy and then make sure the box is empty before you paste. I have just reread my post and it sounds like absolute gibberish
Dust if you must but wouldn't it be better To watch the birds ...........
I had a fit Elle when I read your last few messages about problems re your piccies, thought we were all going to have to forfeit seeing them! A huge sigh of relief when I read you'd managed to sort it - from one of your biggest fans! heart
Diane - Scared of flying birds, but can handle frogs if necessary!
Fantastic pictures Elle, and the fact that you have managed it again. Your posts crack me up, they always make me smile , so glad i’m not alone one here with my bird brain re techy stuff (excuse the pun). I will have another go when I get something to post - patience, as they say, is a virtue - just not one of my best ones lol. Sue
well, good news is the hubby got my light in my side view box on Saturday, about 4 pm so whilst the box was down we gave it a good clean out (don’t know what on earth they’ve been eating but it’s stained to hell!!) but anyway, since the light has been in, iv had an occastional visit from the male only , only going on outside of hole & having a peep in,but never going in, but no female in sight I don’t know if she maybe felt inadequate with it all been clean now, so she has maybe decided to move on! I can’t believe it after all the positive signs of them going in regularly, I’m quite baffled . I do hope he finds another mate and quick
Glad the hubby sorted the lightening for you Elle, Maybe the light is going to take a little getting used to for them. Might be a shock cause they aren't used to it, You could always put the gap over the sensor so the light stays off then undo the gap during nest building / egg laying. Then again they need to get used to it anyway so better off just leaving it, Doesn't seem to bother my blue tits or sparrows but every bird is different I guess.
Im hoping it isn’t the light putting them off, it’s been nearly 4 full days now, so am hoping they won’t take too long to get used to it, but I’m thinking the female has disappeared as he sometimes calls but she never comes and I can’t actually see her flying about, unless she’s making sure he checks it out fully Time will tell
And yes Paul, I managed a picture all on my own, I’m a big girl now . I actually do what Sammi said about getting rid of the http thingy
ps XP’s can you put the Thankyou emoji on the list, the one what newcomer Steve used please?, I know you were short of space but you have the ‘praying’ emoji duplicated. Just thought it would get used a lot!! I know I will. Xx
I am Ann thank you, I have posted in your thread about ‘resting’! , but broke off Friday and had a nasty viral infection, so have been knocked off my feet a little, but feeling a bit better now (think it’s the environment we work in I suppose, come into contact with all kinds of viruses) but at least it’s the holidays & I always try and do as least as possible, so all is good Just trying to catch up on everyone’s posts
Elle, I so hope the lighting isn’t an issue for you. So many on here use them but as neither I nor hubby are very good with those sort of things I am just going to be content with my purple glow piccies. Well, that is if I get anyone to venture into the box long enough to get a picture lol. Since my busy couple of days with the camera box there has not been too many visits - not what I would call regular visits . Blue tits around the garden every day but just viewing from a distance. Hoping will pick up soon . Keeping fingers crossed yours get used to the lighting Sue
Oooooooo Yerrrrrrrr!!!!! I’ve got it Don’t worry though Paul, don’t think i’ll be giving you much of a run for yer money (not this year anyway!)
Anyway, I’m thinking the male might be my male from last year (zorro), because of the broken line down the front of his chest, thought I caught a sneak peak when he stretched up to look where female was, but will see Cos he did an alright job last year.
yorkshirelass... I hope the female has gone shopping for bargains and not another male
Ann.... yer, sounds like your male could well have more than one female on the go, I’ve had it happen in the past, and I think Paul has had a male Bt in the past with (I think) three females, so it is not uncommon. Kathy, Sami, & Sue ...... Ssssssshhhhhhh!!!!!! Don’t tell Paul, but between us, I still don’t know what I’m doing on posting pic front I just keep pressing different icons, so no doubt there will be some random pics turning up somewhere! Oh well, it’s a laugh anyway!!!!!
