Another clip from a bit earlier today - see below. Chick(s) just visible when she stands up around 30s in, after the male's delivered a morsel of food.
Based on skimming through all today's footage, looks as if the first hatchling appeared shortly after 11am today.

So much dull cloudy/rainy weather in the last couple of days - I don't have a light in the side view box so camera relies on sunny days to give good colour pics. Otherwise it flips to infrared black and white...which isn't as detailed, so I'm missing a lot and it's much harder to see what's going on. I think there are definitely 6 chicks popping their heads up for feeding at the moment, and male parent is working hard bringing in a range of food. Hoping for some sunshine to give better pics soon.

Same here Pete, with no sunshine it’s difficult to make a lot out. Sue

Quick update - seems I have 6 chicks doing well. They're at the stage where they've just opened their eyes, have a basic covering of dark feather sprouts, and are beginning to stretch their necks right out of the nest cup. I'd post a video or pic but too busy with work at the moment. Also camera is rather poor at dealing with the box being in the shade, so even on a bright sunny day the pics are just black and white as soon as it's mid-morning or thereabouts.

Thanks for the update Pete. Mine (if they are still there) should be at the same stage so it’s lovely to hear. I will have the same black and white unless I am brave enough to put the light on (again IF they are still there ). Sue

Here's a quite long video showing my six chicks feeding/development from 5th May to today 12th May (most of the second half is all from today). Date is in the top left and changes with the edits (very roughly done!) Anyway, today the more dominant chicks have been out of the nest cup a lot, maybe because it's been very warm, and are beginning to explore their surroundings. Still a few more days to go before fledging though.
