Well done Pete. Just click the link in Pete’s reply Ann and hit on ‘viewers’. I’ve saved the link for many years as always followed Malcolm’s and Elizabeth’s site. I mailed Malcolm to say thank you for keeping it going. He says he is hoping to keep the cameras on now but sometimes forgets. So good of him. Sue

Thanks Pete I will try it tomorrow Thanks Sue I did follow them but then I had trouble with the Java set up hopefully I will see it tomorrow 😊 I also had problems with Java Ann but I ticked the box Java script and it works perfectly. Don’t know if this is any help. I don’t have Java on my iPad. Nothing to see at moment Ann, just empty boxes, but means can possibly see visits and/or nest building when it begins. Sue

Thanks Pete I will try it tomorrow Thanks Sue I did follow them but then I had trouble with the Java set up hopefully I will see it tomorrow 😊 Their website is quite old technically - I had java trouble but there's a little button thing to choose "JavaScript" instead...choose that and it should work.

Love the spirit of this site and the documentation. Reminds me of simpler times on the web. So does this forum in fact.

Love the spirit of this site and the documentation. Reminds me of simpler times on the web. So does this forum in fact. In case you don’t know , it is a site that has for many years been run by a lovely couple that kept us all entertained when we were not lucky enough to have our own nest. Unfortunately Elizabeth passed away a couple of years back and Malcolm has tried to keep the site open with live cams etc but has been unable to keep up with moderating the forum. Hence Paul and Matt on this site asked Malcolm’s permission to move the forum and start a new group with the original name Bigg Bird Forum. I love watching Elizabeth and Malcolm’s live feeds and the overview is really an interesting insight into the goings on in their nest over the years that so many of us were privileged to witness. Simpler it may be but that’s the way we of the older generation like it . Sue

Sue I think it's brilliant that Malcolm has kept it going, and there's over 20 yrs of some really impressive record-keeping on there. I wasn't party to the history so thanks Sue for sharing that. And speaking of brilliant, hats off to Paul and Matt for launching this current forum. John's right to say it's kind of representative of what the World Wide Web was invented for. At least it's somewhere I can post copious details of my bird boxes without feeling I'm boring the pants of people

Oooo did anyone see the great tit that entered box 2 this morning? that was a nice surprise, wouldn't it be great to have a great tit and blue tit box to view! Bit like Ann, every time I look no-one is home . Do you know if it’s the great tit bring in nesting material? That would be brilliant. Just need blue tit to start in box 1 then . Sue ps just went to the playback for box 2 this morning and found the great tit just before 11:00 on the cameras timer on screen. It did appear to be moving the material around but didn’t actually see it bring any in . pps And, the playback for box 1 shows a pair of blue tits inspecting the box

Well the plot thickens as just seen blue tit also checking out box 2, so is it the great tit or the blue tit bringing in material? Sue

A great tit visited Malcom’s box two today at 10:40 by the playbacks clock. Inspected the camera, did nest wriggles etc, . At one point a beak is also seen poking in the hole so this is a pair looking. Maybe things will now pick up again. Sue

Really surprised how slow things are in Elizabeth and Malcolm's boxes this year box 2 as had the same small bit of material in for like last 3 or more weeks These boxes are normally nearly complete time mine start here wonder what is going on this year

It really is a strange year Paul. As you say, Malcom’s boxes are usually well under way by now. Visits are very sparse to both boxes BUT visits are still happening so Sue

Could this genuinely be the first year Elizabeth & Malcolm's boxes don't get a nest?

I am beginning to think that too Paul. So strange. There are still birds visiting if you watch the playback but no action to speak of, all very weird. Sue
