Finally after 2 years we have a nest box resident My son Harry built a bird box during lockdown in 2020. Finally after being very patient for the last two years we have a very busy visitor to one of our nest boxes. Very determined and having seen off starlings a few times, she is making great progress with her nest. Catch a glimpse here on the stream and daily timelapse.. apparantly you have to like and subscribe (im definately not the youtube generation) youtube.com/channel/UCm9HerLrITHMoDyq1miGT_g

Great pics Harry - you've got a good angle with the entrance hole in shot. Interesting your BT seems to have left the bottom of the box uncovered so far in the middle, with all the material wrapped around it. Guessing there's a fair bit more fluff and feathers and hair to be brought in still. Good luck with it - I'll be watching with interest as it unfolds

Well done to Harry for his box and well done to ? for uploading great pics and videos. Great start to the nest hopefully she will cover the bottom - think she’s a bit keen with the feathers but who knows maybe she wants her eggs on the base . Anyway, welcome to the forum. So glad you have a nest, it will be another lovely watch. Sue ps sisussexbythesea is a bit long to type every time, how would you like us to address you ? Ta.
