yes me to, I've watched both pr of bluetits and greatits flying about like crazy when i got home.I walked up to the top of the garden and noticed some loose fresh pieces of moss below the camera box, i had to investigate so i went to set up the camera all quiet inside the box knew not to raise my hopes
Hi Ann, I’m also in school, so I too am very excited for next week so I can watch the birds (hopefully) all day long if I want . The Angle on your nest box seems quite high Ann, have you made any alterations? I ask because my box angle was quite shallow, but have just moved camare up a couple of inches to see if it gives me a better view of any potential eggs My female last year really didn’t allow me to see anything at all, until chicks where a few days old.
looking good for visits though considering it’s still early icon_biggrin

oh good ,im looking forward to the rest, im close to retirement at end of school year, i don't really want to go.ive been there 21 years, ive been connected to school for 30 years since my eldest of 3 sons started but it will be great to have time to do things for myself i didn't dare touch anything once i got my box, maybe during the holiday i could have a go at moving it and see if i can get a better position thanks elle
Hi Ann & Elle, enjoy yourselves next week then being at home to watch your birds - my son-in-law is a teacher too so also on holiday, but going away for the week. I understand how you will miss school Ann, but when you retire, you'll wonder how on earth you managed to find the time to go to work!
Diane - Scared of flying birds, but can handle frogs if necessary!
Oh Ann I think you mis-understood, I didn’t mean move the box for repositioning, I meant the camara inside the box is high up, higher than mine, which I like because it will give a better view, just wondered if you changed it to that position or it actually was bought like that??

hi elle i did understand, we hadn't touched the camera left it as it came, we got a clear picture straight away we were ok with it, but i will have chance to move it slightly so we get a better view inside once i finish school i will have more time then
Ann, I always get boxes without camera get a nest whilst the one that has got a camera sits there waiting and empty . Fingers crossed for both of us this year . I reiterate what Diane says - once you retire you won’t have time for anything and wonder how you ever had time to work . Hope you and Elle have a fruitful week off. Sue
Ah, it seems a much better view than mine, is it a gardenature box Ann?
Elle, You can get a lens for £9:49 off gardenature you know that gives an 120 degree view instead of the standard 92 degree. I have this lens on one my cameras in one of my side boxes (my other 2 side boxes just have the standard 92 degree one) Here's a picture of the view with the 2.8mm lens on gardenature.co.uk/product/2-8mm-wide-angle-lens-hd1080p
well I've not been here to watch out of the window, since Wednesday, today is first day hopefully many this week.so far ive only seen the pr of bluetits on the feeders and on and going in the box minus the camera. i need another pair of blue tits urgently, i have a pr of great tits but no signs of looking at boxes yet, otherwise i need the blute tits to decide on my camera box
Looks like the pr have signed the contract for that box, both are going in just my luck
