Fledge day is getting closer, martha still going strong.
as for the wren, no further sitings of her, so i think its just her holiday home she has brought and uses occasionally

Some good news for a change on this forum this year Ann! It would be lovely if you did manage to get some more piccies of the wrens. I had to laugh at your saucer eyes & Sue's on stalks but it's worth it to see what's happening isn't it? You can always hide your eyes by wearing sun glasses, fine if it's sunny - if raining - people will think you're a celebrity trying to disguise your identity!

Any little faces yet Ann? Was so hoping you’d get to see at least one. Still, time yet. Sue

That will be really interesting if you get some pics/film of the wrens fledging - best of luck.

beechnut, im not at all certain about the wren box, i had lots of activity once she decided on that nest, then about 10days ago she disappeared, then i noticed her back on sunday, not seen any more of her, so i think its not an active nest, just her holiday home.

Hi Sue ive been busy looking yesterday and today, i was convinced i saw one, but after a while Martha flew out, she seems to be going in for spells then popping her head out for sometime before she leaves, i will keep looking and have camera set while I'm away

well, after all i said that i hadn't seen jenny she appeared in the garden at 5pm looking for food, she visited the box with presumably top up nest cup material, she is still around, she's keeping me guessing

yes, maybe there will be more activity when i get back ,it seems as though, she could be sitting as activity seems fairly quiet she just pops out for a meal break, ive got nothing to work from as for eggs laid and when, so im hoping to see increased activity in time to come ive just been reading about the wren, 12 to 15days incubation time, and both parents fed chicks, so im hoping to see it become busier, who knows only little JENNY WREN

I like all your piccies Ann, you do very well to get them at all. As you say, it's a guessing game & hopefully when you get back you'll be able to see more of what's happening. At least up to now you have had the bonus of seeing Jenny Wren in your garden & she is so cute!

Well i have some overdue news, MARTHAS CHICKS FLEDGED THIS MORNING, at 8am, in perfect time before we left to go to Lincoln to visit my grandchildren Noah and Hope. i looked out of the window and noticed martha going between the fence and box a few times, i kept watching then noticed a little head poking out of the box, i was so excited i flew down and out into the garden. i saw at least 5 leave. ive had a fun packed day and no time for my mac book. im over the moon to have seen them i need to study the outdoor camera card i think the first one went before 8 im going to put some photos on now yahoo_clap and possibly a couple more i will check the box to hopefully just see a nest cup and no upsets. looking forward to seeing them in the garden on return home
