Quiet here too Ann. My estimation was today or tomorrow so not too worried that it’s quiet. Have seen the male bring food for her this morning and they flew off together but within five minutes she was back in the box so incubation must still be under way. Hopefully an eventful weekend ahead for all of us waiting . Sue

Ann, lovely news re chick - hope Martin does show up. Such an exciting time, it would be really sad if anything goes wrong now. I thought mine had started earlier as lot more movement first thing and male was staying in box longer than usual, but has all slowed down again so think he was just having a chit chat with her and having a catch up . Keeping everything crossed for you and hope all goes really well and Martin shows now he is needed. . As for the chicks Etc. Sue

Sue Sorry to say no sign of Martin,Martha is doing a great job in and out feeding them. i hope she has a small brood and that they get enough food. no way of knowing what happened to Martin. its sad just looking at her on her own, i keep looking to see if he shows.i can't see it happening now.

Ann, I wonder if Martha is Martin's side piece I only ask because back in 2016 when I had 3 females nesting all by 1 male, He only fed the chicks of the first female he paired with. He didn't go near the nest of the other 2, So maybe Martha is the side piece and getting no help? Or of course Martin might of been killed or something.
