Any signs that the wrens have chosen your box Ann? I really hope they do. Strange that Martin and Martha are looking at new ‘homes’, maybe just window shopping and comparing it with their own love nest. Does Martha leave the nest box very often? Sue

thanks Kathy, i have had wrens bobbing around the for a few years, last year he built the nest in the same box but wasn't occupied.same box is being used, i spotted the wren go in this morning, ive been out must of the days did look for a short time earlier, i will make sure i keep my eyes peeled tomorrow. sue ive been out most of the day, martha has been very busy in and out, over a many days ive not seen MR helping out so i can only think she is still sitting but that is still guessing, hoping to see both parents back and forth soon then i will really know what is happening 6 40pm martha has just come out of the box, so I'm happy things are still on going,

All sounds good Ann. Be lovely for you to watch the wrens progress. You and I both sat waiting for that big blue tit moment knowing that hatching has taken place. I think yours are a day or so ahead of mine so I am waiting for your cue lol. Sue

the photos will only be from entering the box, and around the box on the fence its not an open fronted box which is a shame

he hasn't been around the box for a good while, hope he turns up when he's needed, i dont think martha has been left to fed them alone, at the moment she's not busy enough for that i was expecting him to be going in to fed martha ,but not seen thought maybe happening but not when ive looked lets hope it all turns out ok

9 15 am just saw a bluetit on the front of the camera box (?martin ) then a couple of minutes after martha flew out of her box, i think Mr has abandoned martha all very strange goings on the wren is also busy in and out of the box as well terribly cold again here

Yes Ann, in the same boat as you & Sue! The GT's are still back & forth as seen from window, but I can't tell if they've got food in their beaks. I popped out this morning to take two photos of the bush & tree they hide in on their travels, plus their chicks if successful as in previous years - but of clourse didn't see them at all then!
