Martha is being good as you say Ann, as it's the same cold wind here even though the sun has streamed down since 10.00a.m. It's no good me going out in the garden today at all, as biting cold winds give me neuralgia & that's bad if you've never had it. BTW - a tip for anybody who hasn't had neuralgia: When I first got it in 2003, because of raging toothache, jaw ache, earache & headache all on the left hand side of my face, I thought it was a problem with my teeth. Having a fabulous dentist who is better than some doctors' I know, having confirmed my teeth were all fine, he found the answer & the cure for it. Bless his little cotton socks he also gave me a prescription so that I didn't have to wait for a doc's appointment. Touch wood, never had it since as I avoid going out in biting cold winds.

Glad to they are making a warm nest Ann, with this changeable weather they need it. I thought mine were at egg laying when I say soft material going in but today as female settles back down (is it her?) back to moss going in Diane good tip re dentist and neuralgia - hope never get it but great to have a tip up ones sleeve. I’ve been catching up on updates Ann & I’m reading a lot saying they don’t know if egg laying has started even though nests are complete, now I’m wondering if mine has started

Interesting, i just spotted a pr of blue tits on the fence, was it the male i saw visit my other box, they were together and went on a different feeder to martha and martin and flew off together. a couple of mins later martha was busy topping up the cup with sheeps wool and martin was keeping watch close by, im curious now i need to see if i see them again, very rare site if it is another pr.hes just been back for a visit to the box spent ages in the box poking his head out

My grandchildren do take an interest yes but prefer the chick feeding stages I think. Something about eating worms seems to amuse them

Fantastic picture Ann, it has made me titter though!, looks like female is giving the male a right telling off, (if I’ve got it right way round) This is why I love to take lots of pics, so I can jog my memory Elle xx

Well,im not sure what to think, apart from Mr blue tit in the tree this morning its been strangely quiet, when i think how busy it has been. im hoping its not an abandoned nest now. i was hoping she had been laying over the last 7 days, as she was so busy going in to check, now it really is a guessing game as to what might be up
I'm hoping im completely wrong, but it is so eerie quiet today
