Me! I need the TV to relax, calm down from the stress of worrying about everybody's birds on here, plus a glass or two

I normally get 2 blue tits and the sparrows Elle, That’s the “norm” I must admit though blue tit numbers in the garden are lower this year. I think Tatty might of laid an egg, Very limited visits this morning and cat hair dumped on top of the cup, So I think she maybe egg laying now, Romeo still bringing other female to the side view box in front, So lets see where that leads! Here’s a picture of Tatty nest this morning you can see lots of black cat her placed in the cup like she’s hiding something, Yesterday the cup was fully exposed but not today which makes me think she’s hiding something.

Best of luck with that Paul - Hope one is under the fur, it's a nice surprise to see her get off the nest after roosting and see the first egg (or two) isn't it?

No Sue and Kathy, I haven't seen nothing, But I don't fancy getting up at 5am when I am not going asleep until 3am to try and see an Egg. I normally turn my cameras on around 10am, She is covering the cup though and only the odd visit now with a feather (picture below) or some more cat hair. Second female and male making ALOT of visits to the side view box in the front (see picture below) The way things are going it looks like Tatty is egg laying, the new female will be my "late" builder and just waiting for my sparrows to egg lay now. Tatty New female

Just bloody sh*t myself (sorry for swearing) Tatty came in to roost and was getting settled, Meanwhile the male (Romeo) always stays outside the box for around 20 mins calling her coming on to box checking on her before he flys across the garden to the handykam box on wall to roost, Anyway he was near top tree and a sparrow hawk flew in and tried to grab him thank god he seen it coming and flew into the ivy!! the sparrow hawk then hit the ivy and flew away, My heart sank at first, 5mins later he come to box to check her and now he's safe roosting in the handykam box.
We have two sparrow hawks in garden male and female, Due to having cages around the feeders makes it harder to kill the birds now while eatting so they have been killing more of the pigeons. But it must of seen our male at top of the tree and thought it would fly in and try its luck.

Thank god he is ok, how is the Sparrowhawk? I have also seen the local Sparrow hawk swoop through my garden twice this week once this evening about 5 minutes before Boulder came to roost Any sign of the Swifts Paul.

Sparrow hawk was fine Karen, Me on the other hand may need a drink I don't drink alcohol, I think the last time I had a drink was when I turned 21, I am 29 this year but after today I need something! These birds have your blood pressure through the roof.

Wow Pheww so pleased they are safe for the night. Thumping heart just reading it..... I know Sparrowhawks make more misses than hits though when preying on small birds but it still is chilling watching the event. My blood pressure is already through the roof.....

Oh crumbs, what a nightmare for you seeing that, it's bad enough reading about it! Thankfully everything is OK & I hope the rest of your bird families remain safe from Sparrow Hawks. I was gardening all day again yesterday & saw sparrows going into the ivy on our Big Shed a lot, so it looks as though my sparrow watching will pay off again this year too. The great tits visited our box early in the morning again, nothing further though.

Wonderful news Paul! I'm pleased I was online so soon after you posted the piccie & that you spotted her first egg. Re my previous message to you, I'm going to edit it in a minute & then post "my news" for what it's worth on my section in the forum, but thanks for your permission anyway.
