So sorry Paul to hear of your poor sparrow dying. It didn’t seem to be in pain though....you would have noticed....so hopefully it just slipped of in it’s sleep. The other one is a real cutie, have you named it yet? Sad about the Bluetits, I lost one but 2 at the same time is a bit strange particularly when they have so much live food around Fingers crossed it’s all. Happy stories from now on

Paul Where are you up to now have you lost any more chicks as I read on elle's thread you had? Something not quite right this year as everyone with BT's have said.

Our first chick just fledged now, I have posted a video on twitter i'll link it to this post. Camera is black and white due to the led lighting turning off around 7:30pm normally. Other 4 settled for the night, I guess they will leave in the morning! I'll try and catch them. But for now here's the first one going.

I do hope this little one stays safe Paul, until he/she is joined tomorrow by his/her siblings, I don’t like them fledging on a nighttime. good luck for the rest of them Paul Elle xx

Oh bless, looked quite hesitant and I can’t blame it, but the look of the chick watching seems to say “are you mad - at this time of night”. Hope all go safely today Paul. Sue

Yes, when I saw the clip on Twitter, I was surprised that it had chosen to go at nightime too - I hope he's still OK this morning. Anyway, as the others have said, I hope the rest of them decide to join him sometime today.

When I turned the camera on 3 was left, I managed to catch 2 of the 3 fledge one went as I went upstairs for a wee came back down and was only one left. Here's a video of 2 them fledging out of the last 3, So I managed to see 3 out of 5 fledge not bad I suppose.

You've not missed it Sue, He/She is still with me, Its got to the stage where it jumps up on my hand when I open cage door and everything, Its really tame towards me now. It won't go near anyone else though, Won't even eat infront of them so the little bond stops with just me. I was planning to let it fledge this weekend, But was busy with mums birthday etc so didn't happen and its going be raining few days this week so when we have a break in the wet colder weather I'll let it fledge. Won't do much harm holding on to him / her for extra few days will it? Let me say goodbye Feathers starting to grow back on its head aswell, I am so pleased with the result and so pleased it took to me so quickly! "Killer sparrow" is now sitting on 4 eggs and tried to build some kinda dome If trying to kill my first brood babies wasn't either now she doesn't want me to see her eggs / chicks cheek of her I will post video the nest in few days can still see the eggs like so not all is lost! P.s thank you for the birthday wishes for my mum Diane and Sue

Love the video Paul. Glad everything went well. Are they still around your garden . I haven’t seen our three that went Saturday. I like the term Killer Sparrow 👹 you’ll have to think of a suitable name for her.
