This is brilliant news for such a late nest Meryl, so hope they thrive. Sue

We have had all 7 eggs hatch, the last 4 days after the 1st. They seem to be doing ok and parents are feeding regularly.

Meryl, great news that all seven eggs hatched & they are fine, as their parents are doing their job of making sure they have all the food they'll need.

They are all ok, although the size difference is very apparent. Got them mealworms yesterday which they found within half an hour and are now feeding regularly.

All was going really well but this morning we have turned on the tv and seen somehow Mrs GT managed to pull the camera wire so the camera is facing the ceiling and I suspect the wire is somewhat into the nest box. What should we do? Could we try and move the camera round by wiggling the wire or opening the top of the nest box, or do we leave alone and hope they don't get tangled if the wire moves? We can hear the parents coming in and out and the wire wobbles as they land. Any suggestions?

That's a tricky one. I'm not sure what I'd do. Not much help sorry. I suppose if the parents are out it may be worth a wire wiggle if it doesn't make matters worth. Hopefully they will twist it back for you

We decided to leave alone and not risk disturbing them. Can hear them being fed by the parents and wing flapping. This is day 18 and usually they have fledged with this pair on day 20. I worry in case they abandon the runty chick who is 4 days behind the others but as we can't see anything we don't know how it is progressing. We did manage to prevent a local cat sticking his paw through the nest box hole yesterday!

They appear ready to fledge. Lots of wing flapping but parents continue to feed although fewer visits. Can't tell if any have gone yet but lots of noise when a parent enters. I wonder if they are waiting for the little one to catch up before encouraging the others to go. Now day 21 for the oldest and only day 17 for the small chick. Hope this is the case and they all fledge!

They all appear to have fledged this morning. I saw one exiting the hole and I think this was the last chick. We won't know until we open the box whether all 7 fledged. Parents are feeding the mealworms to chicks in the trees around the garden and are busy.

We decided to open the box after confirming there was no noise or movement over several hours. Pleased to say all 7 chicks fledged successfully and parents are feeding the last of the live meal worms to them in the surrounding bushes today.
