Great stuff Helen, she finally made it - now it's the wait to see how many she lays, or perhaps how many you can see that she's laid under all those feathers!

Just checking earlier footage on the camera outside nestbox and Paul, who usually starts trying to wake poor Sue at 5.25 and constantly there after, hasn’t been around the last 2 mornings. She lays her eggs just before 6 every morning, so maybe he has finally got the message, “I don’t want you anywhere near the labour ward” at least I hope that’s the reason, he was still doing it for the first 3 eggs.

Going well Helen 👏, I'm sure Paul has just taken the hint and not walking her too early. I'm guessing he's around the rest of the day?

Hopefully Taz, I’d have to sit at my kitchen window all day to see them and unfortunately am too busy with work to do that, although I am thinking of setting up a camera in the window to record them at the feeder and in the trees/bushes beside them. (Watching too much ‘Line of Duty’ )

(Watching too much ‘Line of Duty’ ) Shame work gets in the way so much 😂. I've yet to see a single episode ☺️

Sue has 6 eggs now, but came in and spent an hour on them at around 3 and then came back early at 6.30 for the night, I’m presuming that’s the start of incubation and that the final 7th will be laid tomorrow morning, which is a very manageable number.
Also Paul is STILL around thank goodness, just not hanging around the nest anymore while she’s getting on with the business of laying ........

Thanks Sue and Taz, She has me confused now, a 7th egg this morning, lay on the eggs for about an hour twice this morning but same time away from nest also, to add to the drama my software has stopped working and I can’t keep an eye on them on my phone or other devices only the DVR in the Dining Room, which my son is using as a home office and always on Zoom calls, works all hours, so I’m not getting in to see what she is doing NOW!!! Very frustrating. It was -1 last night and only to get up to 9 today so maybe she just has to give them a bit more heat now. Crazy weather, very warm last week and freezing cold now

Sue started incubating today, not sure if it was full days incubation as she stayed on the eggs till 8.30am, but then left and it was 5 hours later before she sat on them again at 1.30 for the day so final count should be 8, or 9 maybe tomorrow
