Awwww yeah Paul, great to see them back. I moved my feeding house during my break yesterday and put some food in. I will sort it out properly tomorrow. It is now by the 2other houses. I have a camera on all 3 entrances. Last night a hedgehog went. I’m not sure if there were 2 different hogs as the visitor around 1pm had a distinct mark on its rear, I couldn’t tell with the one below

Oooooo......This hedgehog is taking leaves in the hedgehog house. I’m not sure if anything wintered in this box. There is no camera in the box. Yet another hedgehog with a white mark on their back, it’s a different shape to the other hedgehog. I wonder if someone is marking them? I had this last year too 🤔

Bless him, it is frowned upon marking them but I have heard some rescues do it. Mud can also appear as light marks on them though so hard to tell really. Great they are back!

That marking looks exactly like "our" patch, He hasn't been marked because I have seen him in the garden its just lighter patches on him. God knows what it is caused by but it does look alot like patches marks.

A few have patches on them, maybe it is the infrared camera’s that are picking it up!
I have just looked at last nights motion detects.......Oh my goodness, these hedgehogs are so aggressive towards each other! A hedgehog went in to the house of the video above (taking leaves in) well this hedgehog got ‘bulldozed’ out of the house and they viciously fought and rolled around for 16 minutes!! They went off the camera’s view, so I don’t know what the outcome was. They are as bad as the blue tits for fighting!! A hedgehog did go back in later on though. I have hedgehogs occupying 3 out of the 4 boxes at the minute.

The males fight very aggressively, I too have had fights caught on camera and they grab hold and shake much like dogs do I know I have two different hogs at the mo as one had some marks on and one hadnt both males. It is great to have them visiting again, but I have noticed they dont seem to be eating much
