I hav'nt seen the male around for about a week now, I did see one in the garden the other day but they usually bump into each other in the box if both birds are about. The female is very bold when I put the meal worms out the food stand is right next to a rose bush and she doesn't budge when I rehang the feeder she is about a foot away from my face and at face height it's wonderful seeing her this close. One brood is enough for me these days Ann but it could happen.

At least she has the steady supply of mealworms to keep her going if he’s gone awol, hopefully they will all thrive Pete

He is about after all hfriel I saw him in the garden this evening searching for food after I had put out the Meal worms.
