I normally get new feeders every couple of years, I treated them to some new ones today well they arrived today ha! I have been using cages around my feeders the last couple of years, Because we have two sparrowhawks in the garden who like to get the birds at the feeders. Since having the cages they hit the cage and it allows the birds to fly out the other end, I know the sparrowhawk needs to hunt but not my blue tits during spring it doesnt! Anyway paid £27.99 for 2 (got 4) if anyone is interested you can get them here - www.selections.com/heavy-duty-squirrel-proof-hanging-bird-seed-feeder-set-of-2You can get a fiver off when you use " first5 " code is for December 2020 only. Lately we've had a few rats pass through the garden, They was climbing up the feeder pole, This squirrel guard thing solved the problem they don't come near the feeders no more.
