All quiet again Ann. I think that little bluetit had popped in just to see what they'd done to the place

Hi sammi It’s a very strange season, hope you do get a nest, shame your sparrows didn’t complete It’s frustrating when it goes quiet

Here is a brief visit today to the door. To me it looks like a bit of interest. I am clutching at straws though

The bluetit seems to visit once or twice a day just to the door. One day the sparrow male also paid a quick visit? I think they are just being nosey.

Nothing happening here folks. I've given up and turned off the cameras again. If I see any action in the garden they may go on again but I think it is now too late even for laid back cornish birds I know my little robin friend has a nest tucked well away in the ivy but no idea how it's going but I can listen to the chicks when a mealworms are delivered The fence will be adorned with some foliage for next season and we will cross our fingers again

It's all we can do Sammi! Better luck next year, but you never know.. I have a few robin fledglings running around underneath my hedge in the back garden today, with Mum (or Dad?) not too far away. I don't think they nested in my garden (certainly not in my robin box!!), but they can't have been too far away..

Sammi & Matt - at least you both have the robin chicks running around & feeding even though you can't see them, hearing them you know they are OK & alive.

So I noticed some activity on the outside camera that I keep on to watch the hedgehogs in the garden. I noticed a bluetit at the entrance to the 'sparrow ' box. So quickly the cameras go back on and this little fellow looks to be enticing his lady friend in but she wasn't too interested and flew off. Well it's either that or they were playing hide and seek. Just a quick glimpse of them was good but I doubt anything will come of it.

Never say never Sammi! Today I watched a blackbird building a nest in our clematis. I can only assume this is a second brood (pretty sure I've already seen blackbird fledglings around the garden), but it does look like a new nest is being built, at least.

Ungrateful female lovely cosy nest he found for her - just can’t please some females . Such a shame Sammi, he is obviously keen to convince her. Sue

I thought I would see if I remembered how to post a video We had a visit today in the box the sparrows won last year. We are toying with the idea of reducing the entrance size to avoid the battles.
