Yes, she keeps things very tidy Pete! Things don't always go quite as well when they "go" whilst mum isn't there - the offering does seem to attract the attentions of the other chicks somewhat!!
I reckon they will be gone first thing tomorrow, if I had to bet on it. I am really surprised that no more went today, but they were looking quite lively again just before lights out.

Morning The last little one is not too keen. Keeps having one last go on the slide. What a super job mum has done

Aw bless that last little one does seem a bit reluctant to join its siblings. Mum must be frantic trying to keep her eye on so many outside and yet still encouraging last baby. Bit late to the party today - what time did the others go? Sue

Looks like they went at about 6.00, 6.36 and the 7.12. One more hanging on, maybe the one that was hatched on the last day? For this little guy it is only 20.

And the last one out at 8.43! Wow, there it is - our first nest here in 3 years, and in the end it couldn't have gone better. Best of luck to the little chaps, they will need it of course. I can see two of them now being fed by mum next to the mealworm feeder, so I'll get to enjoy them for a little while longer. Empty nest syndrome kicking in!

Thanks all, yes it has been great. A rocky start, with all the stop/starts and fighting, but a lovely outcome in the end. Lots of baby bluetits flying around the garden today, here is nice pic I just got of 4 of them (one a bit hidden!) lined up in the Chilean potato vine:

Lovely photos of the little ones i must say I like your Chilean potatoe vine, Iβm going to look out for one They are pretty common, Ann, so you should be able to find one easily enough: Chilean Potato Vine. They are a very "good value" plant, as the gardeners say, mostly everygreen, need little care and flower for most of the year. I bought mine from a school plant sale about 3 years ago, maybe 2 feet high and just a single stem. Pic below is what it looks like now! It will flower until autumn.
