I’ve got it on hold for you Matt and Sue, how long I can delay it I’m not sure, but they aren’t rushing to see the big outside world. I bet the one outside wonders where the others are
14:30 still 6 in nest

Looks like still 6 left to me? But I am watching on my phone from a train! Karen, today is day 20, so any time really. A couple hatched 2 days after the first so they might hang around a bit longer?

Don’t think these chicks want to go anywhere , they are too comfy where they are with mum feeding them so well. Think tomorrow she will have to get tough. Must be difficult trying to keep an eye on the one that’s fledged and keep going back to box for the rest, especially doing it alone.. Sue

Has to happen tomorrow I think Ann, don't you? I think I was wrong earlier when I said today was day 20, tomorrow will be 3 weeks exactly since hatching so 21 days will have passed, and it will be day 22.

I would have put money on finding an empty nest when I just tuned in but no some are still looking laid back and comfy. I don't think Mum will rush them. It must so much easier feeding them in the box than them fluttering around in the tree tops. It must be a bit like when babies start to walk, you realise how much easier it was when the stayed where you put them

matt You're putting out some gripping TV - it's quite addictive If only you could have marked each chick with a sticker, we could have had a sweepstake! Earlier today I was enjoying watching the mum very obviously inspecting their bottoms after she's fed them on each return - and how they present their rear ends when they have an 'offering' for her to pick up and take away
