Just saw one have a good long look out of the hole Matt, so close to leaving. Sue Ah, missed that Sue - I've been out all day. Will rewind! Yes, think they won't be long now - tomorrow would be day 19 for some of them, so any time from then onwards I guess. I'll miss them!

Thanks Sammi! Yes, the new camera worked out well, glad I upgraded and it was all worth it in the end! I think the biggest might go today, hard to say until it happens I guess, but definitely over the next couple of days. Today is day 19 from the first hatching..

Update: just seen 4 very freshly fledged bluetits in the tree nearest my feeder. For a moment I thought I had missed fledging, and was watching an older version of my stream or something! But instead it looks like another nearby nest has fledged, which is the second lot of bluetit fledglings I have now seen in my garden. Mine will make three (touch wood!), and that I thin is more than I have ever noticed in one season. I think the mealworms might have helped - I knew that at least two blutits were using them, but have suspected it might be three, and I think that is confirmed now.

Lovely to hear the blue tit population has grown, sounds like it’s been a good season near you.after what seemed like a poor season for a lot of people and areas Yours will be fledging soon now, hope you are around to see them Matt

As others have said Matt, thank you so much for sharing this action in you bird box with all of us. Really special when one doesn’t have their own nest to watch . So hope some go today so you can see them fledge Matt. The excitement is building and some so ready to get a look at the outside world. Been such a privilege to watch. Sue

They certainly are Sue I’m sure one or two may go tonight, I’m glued to it, longest time I’ve watched 🤭 think they are going to give up tonight and settle down, looks like you will be awake early in the morning Matt so you don’t miss them fledging 🤭

Do you think they would go this late at night? I don't have much experience of it to be honest, so maybe? They are looking more active this evening than they have ever been - I reckon they'll go early tomorrow, or at least a few will. There's a couple that are two days younger than the oldest, so maybe they'll hang around for another day or two? They do look bonny tho!

I dread to tell you what your chicks were doing at 20:52 Matt . Let’s just say they were having a feast - obviously hungry and copying what mum has done in the past Sue

Mum is so busy still and feeding them the mealworms. I wonder if she thinks it's easier feeding them in the box than out in the trees. At least she knows where they all are She looks a bit disheveled poor lady. She has done an amazing job reading those chubby chicks

Has one gone? Turned away from the screen for only a second and now I can only count six. Is it hiding or did it go - anyone? Sue
