Paul - great news about your robin nest & the eggs so far, you really deserve it after the losses you've had this year re your sparrows & I love the name you've chosen. What a treat it is for me to have two robin families on here, but Pete's will have to be my favourite as she was first! Funnily enough, the position of your nest looks to be in the massive thick growth of ivy at the top of your photo - exactly what ours looks like above the Big Shed.

Our female robin is roosting in this box tonight, I guess this means she will be laying her final egg tomorrow? 5 eggs that will make! I think she is tweeting away to her male in this video before settling down for the night! She is unnamed yet, I am going to let the mother pick the name because Robin's are her favourite bird so she is thrilled about me having this nest!!

We are so lucky having all these nests to watch. I bet your mum will be thrilled to name your robin My robin is now taking 2 mealworms at a time from me so I presume something has happened somewhere?

Yes I am impressed with the camera Pete, I haven't had the light on at all in this box so far this year the natural lights been enough to produce great HD i'll likely turn the light on when the trees full of leaves!

Nothing exciting happening here to be honest Robin - eggs due to hatch tomorrow or tuesday males been very active in feeding her Peacock (1st blue tit female) she is currently laying eggs, I think shes got 5 at the minute! I 100% seen 4 eggs yesterday but could be more waiting for her to start sitting before I do a little video update with the eggs for her Meggie (2nd blue tit female) - giving me the run about literally haven't seen her for days then yesterday she started building again and today shes brought abit more in no real rush to get finished it seems At this stage if she does nest great if not thank god for peacock

Good to have you back Paul, and nice update on the eggs and Robins. Hopefully Meggie will sort herself out and get on with it. It does seem there is a lot of messing around from the birds in general this year, but the weather has been kind of strange I suppose.

Hi Paul, isn’t it strange how the different birds are reacting this year? Both you and Matt seem to have a female that seems reluctant to make that final commitment. At least you have the robins and Peacocks nest to keep you occupied until Meggie decides. Looking forward to the robins hatching. Sue

Fingers crossed for your robin nest Paul. Hopefully your other bluetits will soon decide the time is right. I think this weather is throwing a spanner in the works.
