She's been back today Matt and cleaned more poo out looks only to be a few pieces left, Done some nest wriggles etc. No material yet, I am hoping she brings the first material in soon! Probably be a faster builder with leaving it later to start Always noticed that in the past, birds that start early march take slow but the ones in April have the nest build in days!

I wonder what next week's icy blast will do to things, Paul? We're supposed to be getting heavy frost for a few nights and even the possibility of snow, I heard tonight!!

Our second female is going to be called Meggie (it was my aunties nickname) It was 9 years yesterday since she was murdered & its her 40th birthday on 10th April. She died 10 days before her 31st birthday, I told myself if nest building started between the death anniversary and birthday i'll call the bird Meggie so yes little Meggie! She brought some more material in this afternoon but nothing major but yes its still a start!
Little peacock is now bringing in wool and feathers, Little video below! I think her nest will be complete during this weekend.

Aww Paul, I remember you telling us once before about your Aunt who was tragically taken early, I’m 100% sure she would be so very proud of the young man you are and I think it’s a lovely gesture to name your 2nd female ‘Meggie’ after her, i think she would give you her approval. I do hope this female does YOU proud and gives you a nest with plenty of healthy chicks Elle xx

Still looks good Paul you'll be able to see them coming and going and see the fledging and some of the feeding when the chicks get bigger.

So pleased to see this Paul. 2021 is turning out to be a good year for our nesters. Robins are such secretive birds when they want to be I know mine are nesting close by but too tricky to see so I won't even try I'll just keep feeding them the worms

Looks like you still have the magic touch Paul, all flocking to yours - they know when they are on to a good thing. Loving that you have called one Meggie. Not able to keep up as much as i’d Like to at the moment but hoping will be able to give my full attention soon. Sue

Robin is on the nest this morning so I am guessing egg 2 as now been laid! Good to know putting a camera near didn't disturb her aswell! I know this box looks like its not got much cover from the camera but i'll post a picture below where it is and you'll see how thick and deep the ivy is the box can't be seen at all! God knows how the camera is showing colour to be fair but I aint complaining Nest box is deep inside here -

Had a little peek in the robin nest before, 2 eggs now. Haven't seen her since 9am, She's in the garden with her male but not been near the box. How many eggs did yours have Pete? I am going to not look now just wanted to make sure she laid this morning plus I forgot to put some tape over the camera leads to keep them weatherproof so done that since yesterday was a rush job incase she seen me
