Here is the video I got, She didn't seem to mind but I won't keep disturbing her! Abit gutted its got no camera in but its so low down and really hidden I honestly didn't expect a blue tit to give it a second look i'll get the odd picture inside the box now and again once the chicks arrive though just try not to disturb her much

Paul, what a miserable day it’s been for a birthday, hope you’ve managed to enjoy it. How fantastic to find the blue tit nesting - so wonderful that they are so trusting of you. You really are a magnet for the birdies . Sue

Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone, I had an amazing day / night even with the bad weather. Managed to go for a pub evening meal with cheryl my sister and her fiance when the rain died off they had marquees etc so the day wasn't ruined My 5 robins have fledged now I didn't realise they leave the nest before they can actually fly (14 days) until I read it online But yes they fledged today of all days when they hit the 14 day mark they are just hanging about inside the ivy for now being fed by mum and dad Peacocks eggs are due to hatch on 6th may hopefully all 10 will hatch, The second female in the log box with not having a camera inside I don't know when she started incubating so that will be a guessing game I'll catch up with everyones posts tomorrow haven't been on here for a few days

Good to here that the robins fledged ok Paul, I wonder if robins ever use the same nest for a second brood!

Excellent stuff Paul! and happy belated birthday! robins can indeed reuse a nest provided all goes well the first time round, a couple of years ago I had a homemade box in my Japanese maple tree and a pair nested there with 3 successive broods, as soon as the young fledged she started laying again and left the male to feed the fledglings, I haven't had the same success since though!
