Ruby (female robin) has found the mealworm feeder two little clips together she takes loads in the second clip! Going to put the camera at the top of the feeder tomorrow was just seeing if she uses it If you look at the clips closely you'll see her flying back into her nest box with the worms P.S Peacock is also using it so no issues with her when her eggs hatch!

Small clip of peacock using the robin mealworm feeder She laid her 8th egg today, Still no sign of sitting yet eggs fully covered. So looks like 9 at the least wonder if she will push for more now she knows about the mealworms? I have never had them out this early before, Always put them out a few days before eggs are due to hatch! Because of the robins I have started early, Most eggs we've had off a single female is 10 eggs I am kind of hoping peacock beats it and pushes for 11 or 12 Come on peacock girl you can do it!

Paul - such wonderful clips & piccies! I'm so pleased that your robins don't mind sharing the meal worms with Peacock as well. It's all go at your place isn't it?!

Such a busy garden Paul. Lovely to see the mealworms are so popular. Our robins and blackbirds are always out waiting when I put our out. I ve been getting the regular size for ages now but may get a few bags of minis for the new kids on the block ( wherever they are )

Wow Paul, Peacock is doing really well, do you know of any single bluetit having more than 11 eggs cos if I’m not mistaken didn’t Angelo have 11 eggs one year? Do you think having the mealworms out this early really could determine the outcome on numbers laid? Brilliant clear pics by the way Paul, super sharp.

Thank you everyone, I am hoping a successful outcome for the Robins! Lets hope nothing happens to them with magpies etc, Getting well fed by mealworms so going hungry shouldn't be a problem!
