We have two types of Bats, we have identified them as Noctule and Pippestrelle from the Bat conservation site. Love watching them as nightfalls. I used the trail cam to capture them wasnt sure how it would go, but got this video.

Great video clip Karen, you were lucky to catch them - I've never been so lucky to see any!

You ever tried to put bat boxes out Karen? We have some bats in the road but they roost up in one of our neighbours roofs, He was trying to get them removed!! Luckily they told him that isn't possible law protects them thank god!
I've always wanted to try bat boxes but probably pointless in my garden because they have a good roost site.

Just been reading about bats, Apparently when they have babies the babies normally look for a new roost space, I didn't know that! Maybe it could be worth me trying a couple cheap bat boxes

Yeah we bought one a few years back, we put it in a tree in our garden but no joy, think it needs to be up high somewhere and we have limited places to put one. Same as yours I think they have a good spot somewhere.
