Really lovely photo Brian nice to see your season is extended as well. Do you think lockdown has had a positive effect on our wildlife garden seems to be more activity this year? Hope all goes well for this nest and she can keep it secret. I think so. Didn't have any nests for the past two years. I just hope the neighbours cat stays away. Had a camera set up for hedgehog last night but only got photo of the cat.

Fingers crossed for you Brian, hopefully the cat well stay away from your Robins, hopefully you'll see a hog soon. We've had some hog visits, but not feeding at them at the moment (rats about), they do still take a drink though

My robins hatched today. As I cannot see directly in to the nest I don't know if all 5 have hatched yet.

The little video clip is lovely - hopefully all five will have hatched by now, so it's a waiting game to find out for sure.

Love watching this. Thanks for sharing it. I've got my fingers crossed as I may have robins nesting in a box I put up in the corner of the garden. No camera of courseš¤£ I'm now frantically googling small external cameras just in case I can put one up without disturbing them. Only seen a bit of nesting material poking out but I feel like I've won the lottery š¤£

Oh doesn't she look cosy in there? Don't very often get to see a Robins nest because they are so secretive, I was too late spotting mine so didn't see the chicks fledge. Hope all keep safe we need more Robins .

I can see mouths of the robin chicks sometimes at feeding time. When they grow a bit more I must try and get a video to see how many hatched.

Lovely pic of those robin chicks. I've no idea how many eggs our robins have. Am I right in thinking the nest won't be disturbed if we put a little camera in place a little closer to the nest. I've got a small waterproof one on order I thought we could mount on a pole and somehow place it pointing down into the box which is quite shallow.

I have my camera on a piece of timber. I set it up just when they started building nest. It doesn't show into nest as its about 3 or 4 feet away on a branch. I took the picture with my phone when parents left the nest as I wanted to see how many eggs hatched. I have seen a cat and magpies in the area of the nest so I don't want to disturb them. My female was sitting on a branch outside the nest yesterday when I had to retrieve something from my shed and she just sat there watching me. If you could instal the camera while they are not in the nest I think there shouldn't be any problem. Just to make sure not to disturb any vegetation around the nest.

Looking forward to seeing the robin chicks develop. Keep them coming Brian.
Might try for a robin nest next year - already have a robin taking mealies from my free supply, but he flies off somewhere to the side and front of us!
