Not exactly in my garden, but a friend has just posted the following picture. A pair of robins have made a nest in an old walking boot in his garage.

Love these little fellows, I once had a robins nest in a hole in my wall, it was where an old extractor fan had been, but before we had chance to put a new fan in, the robin took up residency! I used to love watching the dad hopping all the way along the fence.
They look healthy Taz

Yes Elle, they have fledged now apparently too, or at least they've scattered around my friends garage.

Brilliant news Taz thanks for that, hope the neighbour keeps an eye out for them, we had workmen working on our garden when ours fledged, when the workmen turned up for work the next day we told them that they would have to leave the job until the robins had left our garden as they were scattered about the garden!! They looked at my husband , & myself & then at one another, thinking we were joking, until I made it perfectly clear I wasn’t kidding! It was 3 days before the last robin left, she had 7chicks. We eventually closed the hole but put an open box in same place, hoping it might be successful the year after, but unfortunately nothing since Elle xx

These look so adorable and as said a safe haven I would think. As Robins generally live only 1-2 years on the whole for various reasons I hope for your friends sake these turn out to be exceptions to the rule.
