Me and Mrs Benn try to get out and do our daily exercise by walking on our Moors when the weather is good. Today we went early and the freezing Easterly from yesterday had disappeared and it was dead calm up there with lovely hazy sunshine and a lovely 15C temperature. It is very rare to get conditions like that this early so I thought I'd post up some pics from 9am this morning. The wooded area is on top of a moor and was planted in the late 1990's. We heard many birds including Great, Coal and Blue tits, Robins, Chaffinches and Greenfinches, Meadow Pipit, Skylark, Curlew and Chiff chaff. Traditionally on Good Friday we would have done a 3 hour moorland walk with friends ending up at a local pub around mid afternoon We feel lucky to have somewhere like this which is 5 mins drive up the road where we hardly see a soul. Makes up for the cooler, wetter weather we have to contend with. Hope you guys have something similar. Happy Good Friday all!

Brilliant Benn, Glad you've got somewhere you can have good exercise and get out for a few hours! We have something like this up the road from us but ours is woods upon woods and a sea front, we went for 2 hour walk the other day, Probably go a few times a week to keep me sane doing this!
