Awww, fab, thanks for your reply Paul. I have some wood left over from building other hedgehog houses. I have a roof and a base, so only need the sides. I’m off Thursday, so I will get cracking 😀

I had a little one collecting leaves and is sleeping in the house today.....typical, I needed to take the camera out today and send it back to the retailer as the infrared isn’t working correctly.

Aww Amanda that is so lovely to see the nest building. I'm missing having a camera in mine now. I've got a trail cam outside but the trigger is slow so I'm not sure if I still have interest or not🙄I still have visits to the garden for food though. I'm thinking I might sneak a camera back in. Yours seems to be in a really good spot. How is it mounted?

Hi Paul, pass! I’m not sure to be honest. I had 2 huge hogs but I’ve not seen them for a few days. I now have this smaller one around last night and it stayed in the box today. I know of another smaller one too, so I think about 4 or so Hi Sammi, it is definitely great to have a camera in. I have just finished building my final hog house and put a new camera in it, so I will take a photo tomorrow. I mount it on the top of the the roof / lid of the house, tucked as far back in to the corner as possible. This is what the camera and mount look like this

Hi guys,
I hope all your hedgehogs are okay. I have quite a few different ones coming to feed...I can’t keep up with who’s who! I had a little one arrive a few nights ago, the next night 2 little ones appeared. I managed to weigh one this evening which had gone for sleep in one of the houses. It’s only 260g a tiddler, so I will keep an eye over the next day or so and also make contact with the rescue centre this evening. They are in and out of the feeding house a lot throughout the night, but I’m not sure there will be time to make the weight. I have my eye on them and will see what the rescue centre says.....hopefully I can take them at the weekend.....keep you posted
edit ive just weighed the other little one who is 285g

You'll get the autumn babies all coming now Amanda, I just had to take another one that came lastnight to the rescue this morning was 260g. The good thing about letting them winter in a rescue is you'll get them back in March, I have to collect two females and a male in march now glad about that means i'll have both sexes in the area before breeding season.

Lovely video clips Amanda, I am so envious of forum members who have Visiting their gardens. Keep up the great work Amanda as it worth it. Kevin, Start putting food and water out, Make a feeder out of a cheap plastic container I use £2.99 under the bed storage containers from Home and Bargains. I hadn't seen an hedgehog in years around here and I started attracting them without knowing putting food out of a stray cat, Once I seen an hedgehog on the plate I went into full lets help the hedgehogs mode and now this year I have had about 15 different hedgehogs I have 2 hibernating in the garden and all this is in the space of 18 months! I seen someone on twitter just last week, They put food out for 12 months and an hedgehog turned up now, Yes 12 months is a long time but just putting food out will attract them in the end even if you was like me and didn't see one for years. Theres no access to my back garden but I feed them in the front garden where they have full access to the garden Heres some tips off an well known rescue, Please try and see what happens lots of starving babies around at the moment who need food and water and when the hogs wake up in spring food is the first thing they need. p.s sorry for overtaking your thread Amanda, they just need all the help they can get as you know poor things.
