Diane, Lucky spent a few hours in the garden, Filled up with food and water, Had a nap in one of the houses and good look around the garden before going back out on street I found her. Hopefully now she knows where food is in the road she will be back. Ringo however he doesn't leave the garden now abit like my other one with no name I should start charging rent!
Karen, Our little tescos don't do the biscuits to be honest, I have to travel out about 9 miles to the big one and stock up. When was the last time you was getting visits Karen?

I am so glad this hog has now got unlimited food supply each night and of course water.

Another new comer tonight, Its a little hoglet! (camera makes it look bigger) Rescue on twitters told me to keep close eye on this one because its breathing looks a little laboured (could be things like lungworm) Little hoglets get things like that due to being apart from the mum and eating things like slugs that are full of lungworm. So i'll keep an eye on it, Hopefully he / she is okay! But this is the first hoglet of the year for me. Edit - just been privately talking to the rescue they told me not to intervene yet it may only have a respirstory tract infection but now its found a good food supply and getting good nourishment it will be able to fight this itself. Just been told to keep an eye out for coughing / sneezing and the breathing getting worse / going off its food if any of that happens it could be lungworm, so far its doing none of them 3 things thankfully.I'm learning so much about them off rescue this year, I am glad because it makes me aware what to look for now and I can spot it in time. This picture gives you a better idea how small it is, But even this still makes it look bigger!

Hi Paul, thank you for the two clips & the photo of your new little & it's great that Lucky did manage in the end to find his food, plus the good news that Ringo's scab fell off the other day. As for the little one, just like you finding information from your contacts which you didn't know - you are kindly passing it on to us too. I always thought that slugs & snails were the food hogs liked, just shows how wrong you can be! .

Me too Diane, Until I did research, Snails / slugs are only 1% of a hogs diet they will only eat them if desperate and hungry. Here's more information here off a hedgehog rescue.

The 2 with camera’s didn’t get used overwinter, I’m not sure about the one in the corner in the front garden as I don’t have a cam in it, but it had been used when I cleared it out yesterday. Have you used your POE camera yet? If so, I have a solution which can run 2 camera’s from 1 cat 5 cable, I tried it yesterday and it works!

As you can see from the pictures below hes got a patch of ringworm on his face but the worrying part is his back legs, They are completely bald! looks like hes got mange which does need treating, So mission tonight is catch patch if it returns the garden and get him a rescue in the morning. Fingers crossed he comes back so I can get it the help it needs, So many hogs turning up at moment I can't keep up seems a new one everynight!

Oh dear, poor little patch is in a bad way so hopefully he will return tonight & then you can get him to the rescue place for treatment tomorrow. On a lighter note, word has got around in the hog world that your garden is the "best bed & breakfast place in the area!"

Poor Patch. I hope you have a successful hog hunt tonight and ge can get the help he needs. The footage you take is a great way to keep an eye on their health. I took mine out and am regretting it. Not sure if I should put it back or leave well alone. I've had no visits for 2 nights either for food or naps.

Yeah, sods law aint it! I have put the trail cam over the fence into the school field tonight, as this is where the highway leads and where they mostly enter the garden from, so be interesting if they are bypassing my garden or if they arnt around in my area. Be interesting viewing, might see the fox, I put some fox food out for him so mayby he will stop by.

Well done Paul, was thinking of how things went when I got up this morning. Patch will be back on his patch fit and well in no time I have just been checking the cam from the school field last night, no hogs passed by in range, I will put it out all this week to monitor any activity, its so strange its as though they have just disappeared

that Patch returned & you got him Paul! Great that rescue think he'll be OK in a few weeks & that they think you can have him back, so you'll be able to put the welcome back flags out.
