Glad they are all doing well Beechnut! Seems like you have plenty of mealworms now to go around.

Ha,ha,ha....living on the edge there!! Brave fella - he'll probably be the first to leave too.
Great that you are stocked up with all the 'grub' - now that you potential have spares, why don't you attempt to make a worm farm?
There is lots of advice about how to do it on YouTube... lots of different styles of worm farms, but the most popular idea I have seen involves a stack of plastic tubs with different size gauze, so the various size worms can drop down in the next tub and so on until they are beetles again....then the process starts again.
Takes about half a day of making the boxes with the filters and then you are all set. But with that supply of worms you have, you have your 'seed' amount to get started.

I think my wife may well have something to say about that GBH, she already complains about the amount of unnecessary "stuff" I have in the sheds and has a list of jobs that have been waiting to be done longer than usual because of the second brood, due to the time I spend watching the GTs live and recorded as well as time spent on the Forum!
I think I'll just stick with the Kg or so of mealies that I buy during the breeding season and the fatballs and blocks that I get during the rest of the year.

Glad they are all doing well Beechnut! Seems like you have plenty of mealworms now to go around. It seems that LFD think that I signed up for a SuperSaver and were poised to send me 500g of mealies a week for the next 6 weeks!

The Famous Five are 13 days' old today (except one, who's 12 - but who's counting) and are bigging up fast. One was exercising his wings and stretching.
I wish a few more would get those wings beating as there are one or two cobwebs appearing in the attic and one in particular is beginning to spoil the view. A concerted effort by two or three could dislodge it, otherwise we'll have to wait until nearer fledging day when they start flying up into the rafters to get shot of them!

15 days' old and another one out of the cup this morning - only difference now is they have their eyes open, so he should know where he is!

Not long now then. I love seeing your updates. I've still got empty nest syndrome!

Will probably have an empty nest by end of day. Great that they all made it.

Another 2 or 3 days at least I reckon Guys - but then they have been stuffed with waxies and mealies this last week. Here they are getting ready for bed - there's not much room for Meg in there, and it's going to be really warm!

Yes GBH - At the risk of tempting Fate, I think that is one of the reasons I get GTs in that box on a regular basis. My pear tree box, which is smaller in length and width, barely gets a look in - I've had only 2 nests in there in the last 10 years.
My GTs in the Wallbox have had their breakfast of waxies and are beginning to climb out of their pit and are busily preening and wing exercising - they will hopefully soon leave the floor and get closer to the cobwebs, which are increasing by the day!

You and me both Paul! The 5th Chick ( who I assume was the last to hatch, a day after the rest) finally left the cup and joined his siblings on top of the nest a few minutes ago.

The Cup is barely discernible now, it looks as if 'the countdown' has begun - I don't think it will be today, but I am prepared nevertheless. I am putting my money on tomorrow, which will give junior a better chance, him being a whole day younger than the rest! Hope the forecast thunderstorms for tomorrow are not too bad in N. Cambs!

BTW you may have noticed that the increased wing exercising has dispersed the cobwebs around the camera as expected!
