I noticed that the female rooster in the wallbox had spring-cleaned at the beginning of the week.
Today just caught a glimpse of her flying past the bedroom window and into the box.
Switched on the camera and the bottom of the box is almost covered!

Hi Sue and Everyone - Yep it is good to be back
It is a GT - What else does Old Beechnut ever have ! (LOL)
I'm pleased to see anything, but I must admit I'm surprised she's started so early what with the grotty weather and all.
Best of Luck to you all.

Just had a quick checkup and the nest building is only a couple of days earlier than last year - but she certainly seems in a hurry at the moment!

First bit of fluffy stuff brought in today! Can anyone help me to recall how to post a video on the website - I don't seem to be able to find last years' notes - I rather fancy I have to upload it to YouTube first and paste something to the Clipboard??

So sorry to hear of the cat saga GBH - hope you can get that resolved by a rescue centre or the RSPCA, to everyone's satisfaction. Cats are certainly a worry where birds are concerned, but it is their basic instincts unfortunately and no matter how well you feed them, it won't stop them. This cat seems as if it may well need checking over by a vet? Best of Luck.

Hi Beechnut, I am not the best person to help with video but as far as I can remember you upload to YouTube and then paste the url given into the video symbol to the right of the photo symbol you’ve been using. Hope i’m Right Sue

My GT is still adding a few fluffy bits every now and then, the nest looks pretty near done apart from the cup - just watch and wait now.........

Plenty of time yet Ann - It's a bit chilly here this morning, so I imagine that's why the action's not so frantic.

Really great progress Beechnut. Great tits seem to be a bit earlier cause my son has a pair building like crazy while my blue tits have come to a standstill. Sue

Yes GBH and Sue, although she ( must think about some names!) has slowed down the frequency of box visits - maybe spending more time with the male - she has been in only 5 times this morning with fluffy bits ready for cup lining.
