Brilliant Kathy, Glad you've got the first nesting material! They seem to be starting earlier this year everywhere, Of course your little Flo last year was miles ahead anyway!

Thank you everyone I'm hoping it will progress but it is very early yet. The female has been in 4 times today with material but it seems to be shuffling it around at the moment. I have also noticed a clump of moss in Box 1 which as you may remember is the most popular box. Therefore we shall have to see whether Box 2 fails as I've never had two BT's breeding in my garden! Anyway it is welcome distraction from all that is going on in the world!! Keep well friends. xxx and good luck.

Dear Friends! In isolation here hubby unwell so I have to isolate for 14 days. Still if it knocks this thing stone dead I'm all for it. Box 2 is getting regular visits and nest wriggles so looks promising. Box 1 occasional visit from a BT. No real Starling interest yet. Keep safe everyone love yer!

Thanks All for your messages. Think I have an EGG this morning . Nell was 'labouring' on her nest at 6.00am for about 15mins. Cold wind blowing so she has tucked it deep into the nest! Moss visited just after six to take her for breakers but she had work to do! Will have to wait until tomorrow to see for sure but my good guess is I have. This would be four days earlier than last year with Flo in Box 1. No nest in Box 1 or any serious Starling visits. Might be only one nest per garden for me? Hubby fit and well now thank goodness thanks for asking much appreciated.
