Yes, I'm happy with that amount, just a successful fledging is all I'm after. Not had any success for a few years now, and never a GT 🤞

Thanks Benn, Paul, GBH, Blueeyedchick, Sammi, Matt, Petesbox
All cozy at Tazs' retreat.
Mrs GT started fully incubating today so 7 eggs is the final tally. Mr GT is still keeping her happy, guess just a waiting time now. I'm guessing about 13 days? Not sure though?
I'll try and dig out some more videos. Been resting after a hot day at work so chilling out now enjoying reading about all your escapades.

They are amusing. Mr GT has managed to find his way into our cage feeder for the mealworms. This morning Mrs GT was begging on the fence next to the feeder, so cute watching her being fed.
As I'm typing they are out feeding again...lovely.

Lovely couple.....we have lots of Great tits around the feeders etc. But none have ever tried my nestboxes, the hole size is 30mm, only the blue and coal tits oh and the little wren. Would love a great tit nest

Last year was my first attempt at a GT nest, I thought they would have a better chance than the BT's so I took the plate off the hole.
BT's had been very successful, but not since a nearby tree got removed.
Apart from my pair, no other GT's around either, although there must be a BT nest nearby because they keep chasing one off.

I have great tit nests down the years and the most eggs I think I had was 6. The first box my Gt Tit made nest in was 32 mm and the one she is in now is 35mm. I had a Gt tit who nested in the bottom of a pile of hollow blocks one year. I think about 3 or 4 fledged and 2 died in the nest. Lovely videos and very clear.
