Wow, just wow!!! Thats brilliant!!! You must be so excited....so much to watch - who will you enjoy watching the most??? - its like Sophies choice!! ha,ha!! Also, on a personal note : 1. Good to know that there is potentially STILL time for us all with our unoccupied boxes. 2. Good to know that the birds don't mind a big spider - which is what I have in living my sideview box. Was worried all the cobwebs would put them off!!! I wonder was it the presence of your live worms that attracted the new builders? Those little baby robins are incredibly cute - congratulations!!

Todays Update:
Wall Box, Blue Tit: Not sure if there are any eggs. The nest is very deep and reviewing recordings do not help. My BTO records show that the earliest first egg in previous years was 29th April so the only surprise is that the nest was completed nearly two weeks ago. She still roosts every night and makes an odd visit during the day.
Shed Side view Box: Blue Tit: No visits Monday and only one yesterday. More this morning but it seems to be just the male trying to entice the female back in but to no avail. Has she lost interest or has the cold weather this last few days slowed her down after the frantic all day building on Sunday?
Blackbirds: Still around but hard to tell. Probably 65% sure they are still ok.
Robins in Watering Can: All seems ok at the moment. Pretty sure that it is 3 chicks with 2 unhatched eggs (one must be the one the Great Tit pierced) They seem to be feeding ok with small grubs and spiders and insects. The parents only take the mini mealworms for themselves. I am conflicted as to continue putting them out as the sparrows demolish them and they have been making the up until now absent Magpies to appear on the fence!!!!
Here is a short clip from this morning:

Lovely video Benn Dont give up on the shed side view box yet, that’s what happened with me this year, great interest, then nothing for a few weeks, then Skype kept trying to entice her into the nest for a few days. She’d pop in to please him and straight out again but maybe only once a day. So I gave up, then the the day before she decided to frantically build a nest, she visited lots of times with nesting wriggles and 3 weeks later we have 7 eggs

Lots of problems with my Internet today folks so little live feed! Finally did the old rebooting trick a little while ago and it seemed to right itself 5 mins after Anyhow after seeing what might be an egg after the female came into the wall box this afternoon I went through an hours worth of recordings on the DVR between 5am and 6am this morning and finally hurrah!! See first clip. Now over to the shed side view box. Again I studied some clips and found one where the male eventually persuaded his new mistress to enter! I've named this "Waiting for a bird like you to come into my box!" after the old Foreigner song Second clip! The third clip is one of many times of Mr Blue Tit frustratingly trying to get her to come in then peering out to see where the bloody hell she is!

Cheer Pete & Sue. The quality of the sideview box is sooo much better yet they are exactly the same Sony 700TVL cameras! Perhaps the focus on the wall box is to far given the height of the nest.

You may need to adjust the focus slightly on the camera when the season has finished. I didn’t realise when I first set my camera up and focuses it, there is a further little cog thing that tightens the focus adjustment. I had the birds knock the camera and it put the camera slightly out of focus. Sorry, I’m not sure of the technical names and you probably know this already, but it took me a year to work it out and then hours getting the focus as I wanted it

Cheers Amanda. Yes I've done this in the past. The problem is judging the height of the nest. I think the depth of the box is insufficient. Its a old green HandyKam box, sturdily built and excellent value for money in its day for £20 but just too shallow!

Lovely photo!! Really clear!!!
And Hey...I didn't realise there was a focus function on the 700TVL Sony Effio cameras?? Thats what I have in the Cedar sideview and top view boxes.
I did try once before, but there didn't seem to be any 'give' at the top the lens....perhaps the focus 'cog' is somewhere else? Is it?
Because mine is most definitely out of focus in the Beaktrix box, and I'd love to fix that.

Not much to report today Paul. Things seem to have come to a standstill again. She is still around but reluctant to get going again.

Hi GBH Yes the lens turns if you twist it but there is a tiny grub screw that needs to be loosened with a tiny allen screw or a tiny screw driver depending on the type of screw.

We have a a new "Rossendale Wildlife" Facebook group that has just started here in the last week. There are a couple of amazing wildlife photographers contributing and some of the pictures are fantastic. Lots of pictures of badgers, foxes, hedgehogs and deer in peoples back gardens and some rare birds and even Otters in our local rivers which I found astounding. However, I posted up a couple of video clips from the boxes a few days ago and the response was amazing with dozens wanting more. So I posted these 3 up today. First up is Mrs Wallbox Blue tit, second is Mistress Shed box Blue Tit from yesterday in a 15 minute solitary spell of building (Sorry PaulI missed this episode when I replied to you yesterday). Third is our three 5 day old Robins. Mrs Robin is now leaving them for longer periods to help hubby hunt for food. I have found a way to give them mealworms without attracting Magpies and Crows and avoiding the deluge of Sparrows that empty the bowl in 5 mins!!! I put them out around 8:30pm just around dusk when most birds disappear to roost. Robins are still active until it goes completely dark and I notice they start very early around 4:30am before first light. This gives them around 90 mins of "Robin only" access to the worms.

I got the same problem as you with the sparrows benn, put a couple of handfull of meal worms out and like you say with the sparrows there gone in no time, hence my GT's hav'nt found the meal worms yet. Great vids.
