I had a surprise visit from the great tits this morning, with the male in first
My blue tits are doing well, George has just started feeding Mildred in the box this afternoon

I also saw the female around lunchtime hanging on the hole of the box for ages, but didn’t go in. I saw my first bat of the year this evening flying around in my garden 🦇 |

Is it possible the great tits have a nest elsewhere and are holding this box for a second brood (perhaps they fancy a new site for new brood)  . Or maybe the male has another female somewhere and is trying for a second female/nest. Only time will tell I guess. Hope it continues to fruition though Amanda. Lovely to see the blue tits doing so well. Sue |

Oh wow...yes, her tail is right up the in the air...she is definitely up to something...looks very like she is incubating? Or laying more eggs, which couldn't be the case???? The more experienced members will confirm I'm sure.
