This will be helpful, it should be virtually the same basic set up. You will recognise the beeping please don’t forget your passwords, it is a nightmare to get it reset

How to set up the motion detect. I am around and about, so will periodically check in to see if you have any questions. There are lots of videos on YouTube, use hikvision as the name instead of hilook when searching as Hilook is a rebadged hikvision.

Thanks Amanda I think it's all set up. I'll learn a bit each day as I have so much time on my hands. So far I can get lovely video clips easily on my phone. I'll refresh my YouTube know how and there will be no stopping me. I wish I'd ditched my pc sooner🤣🤗

Amanda said Ahhh you will also need to go into your router and port forward your camera ports. If you let me know who provides your internet and the router model, I should be able to find a video on how to do it.
We've recently changed to skyq so have a new hub. I remember doing it with my old bt hub. I seem to remember needing a static ip address too. Not sure I'm up to all the stress of it at the moment☹🤣

Hi folks I know I've seen a post recently on here about getting sound from one box to a dvr? Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I have a sort of white noise sort of like the wind but no real noise of the birds visiting? I think it's all connected up properly 🙄🤞

You will need to port forward it you are going to view it outside of your local internet, so I guess at the minute you won’t be going far from home, You will need to do it if you are letting someone else watch it from a different location.

Thank Amanda. Yes I thought it would be an idea just for the people in the village who are enjoying the clips. I set it up years ago via a BT router and our elderly relatives up north enjoyed it and a friend in Australia 🙂 The youtube live is also an idea. I'm watching your posts on that. Still no luck with the sound here. The camera is set to record adio and video but I cant seem to find the settings you described to try changing. I'll have another look today. Meanwhile it looks like straw bits are starting to go in one box this morning. Hope activity picks up at yours.
