The 7 seem to be doing well. One almost found himself outside the nestcup today though.

Thanks all. I've just rewatched a clip and it looks like mum uses her wing to shepherd them back into the nest when they get a bit too adventurous 🤣

Sammi - Love the clip & what a great idea of Mum's to use her wing to round them up & keep order in the nest.

Hi Ann. To be honest I dont remember how long it took. The robin is always close by when I'm in the garden hoping I'm going to disturb some tasty treats. I think I started by just offering my outstretched hand with a couple of mealworms in. I did look away at the start and kept very still. My arm would start to ache🤣 so I would put the worm down on a branch or something between the Robin and me and stay to watch him take it. Eventually he wouldn't wait for me to put the worm down but take it straight from my hand. It is a glorious feeling and well worth the patience. It a good time now as if they have chicks they are keener to get their share 🤣Good luck. Oh the other thing I tried was to offer a little tub of the mealworm too and the Robin would perch in the side to take them. Maybe this is a good first step.

Funnily enough Sammi I have had this happen this season too. It can be worrying because if you are not in the cup it appears you don't get fed! However, all looks as it should in your nest and it righted itself phew!

They certainly look ready to go Sammi. Don’t know if you looked at Malcolm and Elizabeth’s boxes at all but box 1 fledged yesterday very early in the morning and there was a very small one in that nest but it made it out along with the others. Sue
