Hi Sue Ive been away from Sunday until yesterday, i checked my outdoor camera facing my camera box and a bluetit had been inside the box for sometime before i saw him fly off this was recorded on the !9th. my log box is still having visits, but ive only seen the male hanging on the front looking around for her to join him since ive been home. i have my camera box switched on and keep looking up at the screen in hope. ive yet to see a bird in there for the first time on screen since i had it last year. So not much happening for me, so not a lot to get excited about.

If you was getting visitors and spending long amounts time in your box only a few days ago Ann, I'd say that is pretty good sign. The fact you are getting visits can only be classed as good sign, Be more worried if you wasn't getting any visits at all. Fingers crossed your camera box is used this year!

You are so right about them keeping us guessing Ann. Hopefully a couple of better days (soon ) will kick start them into definite action. I still have my rooster, and I have a female cleaner, but whether they are a pair I just don’t know. The male I saw with this ‘cleaner’ a while back did not look like my rooster - but who knows, only time will tell. Keep watching and hoping Ann. Lovely to have Rosie robin to watch. Keeping everything crossed for both of us Sue

Hi Sue I’ve got my fingers crossed for both of us. Today I got Hubble to put my new camera in the log box, only to find the two log boxes are soaked,I’m just out now buying two new boxes to replace them for the season. It’s going to take a good while for them to dry, hopefully to use next year. I am so glad I can do something about it and hopefully Mrs bluetit will buy a house very soon

That is the only downfall to the log boxes Ann, They do get soaked inside when exposed to rain, They would be perfect on a house wall or where the harsh weather can't get to them. I had one in our tree for 2016 it was used successful, However come autumn it was soaked, So took it down and replaced it with a new box.
Good luck with the new boxes, Post some pics when all set up.
