Cheers Paul, yeah i think they just gave up in the end, still see them on the feeders and around the garden i presume they have found somewhere else to nest. The robins have chicks now, i'm watching them through my spotting scope ( must get an outside camera ).

Great news with the GTs Pete - hope there are 3 eggs today and more to follow - unlike my GT who seems to have decided that 2 is the right sized clutch for her and has gone into sporadic incubation mode today, 25 minutes on, 90 minutes off, whether anything comes of it remains to be seen - I'm not very hopeful.
I just hope that the BT nest in the Cherry Tree Box will bear better fruit - still waiting for the nest to be completed, there doesn't seem to be the urgency that I'm used to with only GTs for the last 12 years!

Thanks Beechnut yes the third was laid this morning i'll post a couple of vids later today. Very strange behavior that, do you think it could be a young bird? The BT nest looks promising beechnut.
